Syllabus
- 01Block diagrams and signal flow graphs: Transfer function
- 02System modeling: Modeling of electrical and mechanical systems (translational & rotational), system equations, and its electrical equivalent (analogous) networks
- 03Time domain analysis: Stability, Routh-Hurwitz criterion, time response of continuous data systems, type and order of systems, steady state error for linear systems
- 04Frequency domain analysis: second order prototype system, Bode diagram, gain and phase margins, Nyquist stability criterion
- 05Compensators and Controllers: Feedback and feed forward controllers, proportional, integral, PI, PD and PID controllers, lead, lag and lead-lag compensators
- 06State space representation, State Transition Matrix, Controllability and Observability
- 07Simulation to test the stability of a system in time domain (Root Locus)
- 08Simulation to test the stability of a system in frequency domain (Bode Plot)
